US - Luncheon consulted with this pilot to purchase helicopters

A central figure in the Customs corruption probe is Guyanese pilot Michael Francis Brassington. Michael Brassington was the co-pilot on a drug running Lear jet (N351WB) caught by DEA agents at Orlando Executive Airport in July of 2000 carrying 43 pounds of heroin......link

Brassington's much-maligned charter company was flying a Challenger business jet which overran the runway during an aborted takeoff, ploughed through the airport fence, and went flying across a busy highway, slamming into a moving automobile before coming to rest after crashing into a warehouse. ......The FAA cited Platinum with 37 violations of safety rules and said Michael Brassington, CEO of Platinum, violated FAA regulations. DDH declined to comment through its spokesman, Kevin Knight. "As long as something's in litigation, they're not talking about anything," Knight said......link

This is some scary shit. Did a google on Brassington. Everything I read about this fella paints him in a less than glowing light. There's talks about 9/11 and drug-running connections....and we all know dem people dont play.

But does that mean he is not competent enough to assess the people dem helicopter? Dunno, he seems to have been rated on fixed wing aircraft. The heli is the one with the big rotor and the small one in the back.

Personally, I would have erred on the side of caution, but this govt is a motley collection of wild-oats. They seem to jump into shit without the benefit of a little prudent research.

Jaambo!

I would have consulted Captain Jerry, who was in the GDF, a seasoned pilot, and a graduate of an presitgious university. But instead the president refers to Captaion Gerry's comments as silly, and then goes on to the say you see helicopters like that on those TV reality shows. If you ask me the president watching too much TV instead of running the country. It is a burning shame, and I feel Captain Gerry is owed an apology by the president
